FAQ
Q: I’ve lost my key. How will I get in now?
A: First, find out whether there is another access to get in the house. Maybe it'll be easier to enter through the window or other room? However, please make sure you do not insure yourself. In case you have a weak “Soviet type” lock, the cylinder can be easily broken and you can enter through the door. Later you just need to buy a new cylinder to replace the broken one. Please take the broken cylinder as well as other parts of the lock with you when coming to us to buy a new lock.
Q: I’ve lost my key. Do I have to buy a new lock now?
A: THE STORESIf your keys got stolen and it is possible to associate the keys with your person (maybe there was a label with an address attached to the keys), then you have to act fast:
2. If possible, remove lock cylinders and mortise locks and bring these to our store for re-keying (at the same time, someone should be at home "guarding the door").
3. Install the re-keyed lock cylinders, and your old keys will no longer open the door to your home.
You are safe once again and can leave the house with a load off your shoulders.
Q: I’ve lost my key card. Do I have to buy a new lock now?
A: When you have lost your key card, you should, for security purposes, recode your lock cylinder for new keys or replace the cylinder. In case of office or cooperative premises, you should contact the administrator who knows the locking systems of the building.
Q: My key broke inside the lock cylinder. What should I do now?
A: Call our keymasters on +372 525 1717, they will come to your site and take the broken key out of the cylinder. When they have got the broken key out, you can have a new key made in our lockshop.
Q: How can I prevent someone duplicating my keys?
A: Can I use one key to open many locks?
A: Yes. For that you need to masterkey your locks. This means that the same key can open many doors and many different keys can be used to open just one door.
